Tomorrow is the big day. We pick up our bees!!! I am a bit nervous because we are getting them a little differently than we had in the past. The queens are in a little container and we will have to manually add them to the colony. They have already been hanging out with the colony, but in a little box where they can get acquainted with the queen, but not get to her. I’m sure it will be fine. Breath deep and remain calm is the big rule. I still have not been stung. I have never been stung by a bee in my life. CRAZY!! I find this kinda funny, since bees can sense when a person’s stress level is rising, and I am usually at a ten in any given situation. Maybe my desire to not get stung is greater than my desire to stay at my high stress comfort level….?… You know what I mean. I am hopeful this time around with the bees. It was quite a blow to lose all three of our colonies last year, but this is a new year and two new colonies of bees. WE CAN DO THIS!!!
